Hudson Dealerships

"Muncie Indiana Hudson Dealerships."

The Muncie Automobile Co
Clipping shows that Hudson wasn't being sold there in October 1912. An August 1912 clipping mentions Muncie Automobile previously being known as McGinnis & Hanley.

Click here to view a December 1917 picture of the Muncie Fire Department with what now shows as Hanley Auto Company in background at same address as previous Muncie company. See also a 1920s picture with snipet of Hanley building. The fire department building is still in excellent condition and being used as such this day.

Here is a link to a photo showing cars in the Hanley showroom. The ceiling height leads me to believe this was the original Hanley location before they moved. In the early days Hanley sold Hudson and Interstate automobiles; Interstate was actually manufactured in Muncie.

By the time of the fire department photo, the "old" showroom had become Hanley's battery department and a new showroom had been constructed during late 1916 to early 1917 on the opposite corner of the fire department. Following is an article about the new building at 418-424 E. Jackson from the January 1917 Motor World on the new . Neither the new nor the old building exists anymore.
