KRIEGER, Alfred Paul

KRIEGER Alfred Paul - 90 beloved husband of Dorothy wonderful father of Richard and Michael loving brother of Stanley and doting grandfather of Kimberley and Eryn Krieger and Benjamin and Jessica Tarnoff. He was a graduate of the University of California Berkeley and was a Commander in the U.S. Navy serving in the Pacific in World War II. A lifelong resident of San Francisco he operated Krieger Oldsmobile with his father Harry and his brothers Clarence and Stanley. Later with his brothers and nephew Stephan Krieger he supervised Krieger Investments.
Interesting trivia tidbit: I'd heard rumor that Martin Scorsese, the motion picture director, is married to Krieger's daughter and wondered if that was the reason for the Hudson in Martin's movie, When Peggy Sue Got Married. However, I've learned that Harry Krieger never had a daughter. The closest to that would be Harry's granddaughter, Patti, who married a Skouras, who is a film producer in Los Angeles-but nothing like Scorsese.
