District Motor Company was founded by World War I veteran Frederick L. Haller in 1919.
A 1920 photo shows it as a Premier dealership at 932 14th St NW with a service station at 1428 Church St. NW, Washington, DC.
They may have also sold Moon circa 1923.

It moved several times and finally settled at 1509 14th Street N.W. by the time Edward Andrus photographed it in the 1950s.

The 1986 picture above shows the location became Ace Electrical Supply. Perhaps as a result of Hudson merging with Nash?

In 1978 Joy Zinoman founded Studio Theatre which was next door to the District Motors location. In 2001, Studio Theatre purchased the adjacent buildings which included the building which District Motors once occupied. Zinoman and her company paid $2.75 million for the new buildings and spent an extra $6.75 million renovating them.
